Six Alliance MMA Alumni Fight Tonight on Week 5 of "Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series"

This week's installment of "Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series" (DWTNCS) is packed with fighters with ties to Alliance MMA. We've got SuckerPunch Athletes, CFFC, Shogun, and Fight Time Promotions Alum all prepared to throw down on UFC Fight Pass this evening.

Jamelle Jones (7-4) - CFFC Alumnus

Featured in the main event of the evening versus Michael Rodriguez, Jamelle "The Beast" Jones is 5-time combatant for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, and comes into this bout following a light heavyweight title challenge at CFFC 65. Jones has impeccable strength and takedown skills, and mirrors many of the athletic wrestlers to make the transition to MMA over the years. He also has a impressive physique and gregarious personality that makes him a fan favorite. This TUF Season 23 competitor is finally getting his second chance at greatness tonight against Rodriguez.

Peter Petties (5-2) - SuckerPunch Athlete

A representative of SuckerPunch Entertainment, Peter "The Joker" Petties is also a former competitor for Shogun Fights and VictoryFC. He has scary knockout power in every limb as evidence by his knockout over Rodney Jordan at Shogun Fights 15. Petties hits so hard, that he actually made his opponent vomit after landing a series of body shots in the final amateur fight of his career. The Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts fighter faces Ring of Combat National Featherweight Champion Julio Arce in tonights Co-Main Event.

Julio Arce (12-2) - CFFC 60 Combatant

Julio Arce is a Tiger Schulmann product fighting out of Queens, New York. Arce has established himself as the man to beat in both the featherweight and bantamweight divisions amongst the East Coast regional MMA ladder by defeating all but one opponent thus far in his career -- that being UFC fighter Brian Kelleher whom he's lost to twice. Look for the ever-composed ROC champ to use his experience against elite talent tonight against Petties. He has already felt the pressure of fighting in front of UFC President Dana White once in his last bout at ROC 59.

Alex Perez (17-4) - CFFC 64 Combatant

Alex "The Decision" Perez has fought for a myriad of promotions including CFFC in San Diego, Tachi PF and KOTC. Perez has had to wait a bit longer than most rising MMA stars to get his chance, but it wasn't due to inactivity. At just 25 years of age, Perez has fought 21 times since 2011 and has won 14 of his last 16 bouts. Although his nickname is "The Decision", Perez is anything but a boring fighter and should put on a show for tonights viewers against Kevin Gray.

Everett Sims (4-0) - SuckerPunch Athlete & Fight Time Promotions Alumnus

SuckerPunch Athlete Everett "Wolverine" Sims is a fast-rising heavyweight who is coming off of a knockout victory over Franke Tate at Fight Time Promotions 36. The win avenged his only loss as an amateur. Sims also has experience fighting for GLORY Kickboxing. Through his first four professional MMA fights, The American Top Team product has yet to make it past three-and-a-half minutes. He has two submissions and two knockouts and surely hopes to add finish number five tonight against fellow SuckerPunch athlete Shelton Graves.

Shelton graves (6-3) - SuckerPunch Athlete

Known simply as "The Grave Digger", Shelton Graves has made the rounds through the East Coast regional MMA Circuit over the past five years, proving to the world that he can beat anyone on any given night. Graves holds victories over "Bazooka" Joe Stripling, Keith Bell, and CFFC heavyweight Champion Zu Anyanwu. Graves began his pro career with Cage Fury in 2013 and has since won titles in two other regional organizations. Like the aforementioned Julio Arce, Graves also fought in front of Dana White at ROC 59 and most definitely left lasting impression.

Be sure to tune into UFC Fight Pass tonight at 8pm Eastern to watch all of these rising stars in week 5 of DWTNCS.
